Man, I thought this was another one of those things that was better then sliced bread...However, when I tried them out finally with game commander today, the MIC doesn't work! Well, I fixed that with a quick trip to rat shack and an extension cord for the MIC on my headphones. However, I would really like to reduce the cludder of that cable and just plug it into my Klipsch speakers. Has anyone have this problem and fixed it. Here's the specs you will undoubtely need:

Tbird 900@900
Win2k/98se dual boot(it doesn't work in either one)
Klipsch Promedia 4.1
SoundBlaster live!(non 5.1) with the newest drivers off Creative's website

I believe that is all you need, if anything else I will be happily to tell you.

I don't have klipsch... but my guess is that speakers don't usually come with MIC jacks... they come with headphone jacks!

Why don't you just tape the extension to the Pod on the 4.1 speaker, tape it up with your speaker cord and it will be there without routing it through another location.

Thats not a mic jack on the cp1 control pod, its a line in jack to play audio from a device like a portable cd player or mini disc player when the cp1 is set in the standby /mute mode.
