Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 $49.99 + shipping at ConsumerDepot

I've been looking for a good deal on these for some time. They claim these are new in opened box, so I ordered one set to test. Shipping is kind of steep, as they don't have ground service, the cheapest is FedEx Saver (3 days). It was $70 shipped for me.

Caveat Emptor!

Search the archives as it's apparently been hit or miss as to whether you get a quality product or utter junk from these liquidators.

That's why I have my Amex 🙂 If they send me anything but "new in open box" as advertised, Amex will issue me full refund as long as I have returned them. I checked, FedEx ground is about $14 shipped, for which I'm willing to take the risk. All their disclaimers about "return for credit only", etc, mean nothing.

You might want to reread your TCs on your card. Amex coverage on "open box" or "refurb" is not covered. AMEX is great for new items, but might not cover this. It's always worth a shot, but it is a YMMV.

I want these but it is not worth the hassle if there is a good chance that they will be defective. What is the cheapest that you can find these new?

hmm, i want these but i dont know about the seller 🙁

i'l willing to pay a little more from a better site...anyone know of any other deals?

at this price, it wouldnt be too shabby i suppose. still cant stand piercing highs and bloated bass tho 🙁
good find, nice deal for some 🙂

Just an update: I received both sets that I ordered. One was really new, the other one had some signs of use (the rubber feet were glued on). Both look like new and sound great.

This is a nightmare company to deal with, people. Please read through the thread Delbert linked to above before purchasing, and check their reseller ratings on various sites and the BBB.

You're gambling with these guys. You may get lucky, as a few have. But it's a shame to see companies that deal in this way continue to be rewarded with additional business... ConsumerDepot.com is completely lacking in honesty and integrity.

I still have an active dispute going with Mastercard from when I jumped on this deal three months ago. Sent me busted speakers with mismatched serial numbers and the pink Best Buy return stickers on the subwoofer and outside of the box... soda pop or syrup spilled on them, blown sub, missing parts, the whole deal:

I just bought these for 110 after tax/shipping through tell a month ago. Great sound. I highly reccomend, you can actually listen to music on these without any distortions like most other comp. speakers
