I have an old set of Altec Lansing ADA885 speakers that I currently used stacked in a 2.1 setup (they are 4.1 speakers but the speakers can connect to make a 2.1 setup) and was considering upgrading to the Klipsch Ifi. I was wondering however if this would be a significant upgrade or if its not really worth it. Any opinions are appreciated. -Rob

Retired my Klipsch Promedia 5.1 speakers for a set of Klipsch Promedia Ultra 2.0.

Yes, no subwoofer, but I gained back a huge amount of deskspace and under-desk space.

Sound is terrific for games and a very pleasant listen with classical music.

Fairly accurate tweeter, respectable midrange, and reasonably tight woofer on each speaker combine to produce perhaps the best sound available for a set of compact computer speakers.

Of course, if you're into 3D FPS games, then a 5.1 or 7.1 system is for you.

Cheers,
