Klipsch - From old to new

I'm wanting to buy a set of Klipsch speakers from someone. It was originally the older v2.400 model, but he bought some amp module for it. He says that the new amp module will turn this older model to the popular Promedia 4.1s.

Is it that simple? Just a change of a little module will do?

Not quite. The newer 4.1's have a different crossover design within the satellites than the older v2.400's. Changing the preamp will not change the crossovers.
