Ok, i sent my klipsch 4.1 v.200 speakers in for repair because of a blown out left channel on the amplifier. It took about a week and they ended up sending to to the wrong state. The man apologized and sent me a new pair overnight. I was really excited because I thought I would get a nice new pair of speakers. I opened up the box and cosmetically the speakers looked horrible. There were scratches everywhere, it was worse than the speakers I sent in. Also, there was a scratching noise when I raised the volume. I am planning on sending these back and demanding that they either send me my old pair of speakers fixed, or they send me a brand new pair. Do you guys agree, if not, what plan of action should I take when talking with them?

You paid for it, you should get a decent replacement that works...

it's not like a hard drive replacement that's sitting inside of your box that's slightly scratched up.. this is out in the open.. demand a better pair of speakers while you're at it lol...

I agree this is unacceptable. They are supposed to send you a new set of speakers when something like this happens. I would call back, and make sure they didn't send you those scratched up speakers by mistake. My friend had something similar happen to his 5.1's, and Klipsch payed for shipping both ways. You should make them pay to have the scratched up speakers sent back to them since this was their mistake.

Klipsch has a good customer service system from my experience. Let them know what happened and Im sure they will be willing to send out another pair.

Wow, that is too bad. When my v.2 400's had the scratchy bug that affected so many people, Klipsch not only fowarded me to one of the head guys in NC, but gave me the new (at the time) 4.1 control pod instead of just replacing my old one.

Maybe it really was just a mixup, cause they seemed VERY nice when I dealt with them.

I had to send a PM4.1 for a customer a while ago and they had a brand new pair here in a week.

You have posted this to the Klipsch Forums. Unlike other Corparate Forums, a Klipsch Rep would very likely respond and help you find a solution to this problem.

Yeah, definitely talk to them. From my experience, they've been nothing but helpful. They have policies like all places do, but they are still plenty helpful.

Unless still under warranty, they don't have to give you anything. Otherwise, raise hell.
