I'm looking for a nice new set of speakers for my computer. I read alot of reviews about the Klipsch 5.1 speakers and that they kick ass so I think im going to get them. My question is will they work with my SB Live! MP3+(not 5.1) with 5.1 channel sound or will I need to get a Live 5.1/Audigy or GTXP?

You will have to buy a card with 5.1 outputs. If you don't want to buy an expensive Hercules GameTheatre XP or the Audigy doesn't appeal to you, a very nice Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 DE will fullfill everything you need for under $30 bucks.

these speakers are amazing. using them right now. but i have a GTXP with mine. I'm looking into getting a DD5.1 over the summer too. My brother has the Audigy Gamer. He says it's really good. I like my GTXP too much to change it though. Maybe a Platinum of PlatinumEX in the future. I would like the remote control feature. But the speakers are damn nice. Had them since Jan. and lovin'. I doubt i'll ever get new speakers.

ICSVortex, not to put any doubt in your buying decisions, but are you getting these for games/movies, or for music listening? If you want music, get the 510D from Cambridge. They have been getting better reviews than the Klipsch 5.1's. But the Klipsch's crisp(too crisp IMO) and huge bass is great for games and movies. Oh, the 510D's are $100 bucks less, too.

I am torn in my decision in what speakers to get. I listen to music, movies, and I dont really play games as much anymore. Mainly I will be doing music and games. What should I use? Plus what would I use to hold the speakers up in the back of me. Are those stands really worth the 89$?
