klipsch 4.1?

bought these year ago and they just ran out of warranty but they also started producing some weird noise from top small tiny speakers , when i open up one of them and disconnect the small speaker on the top no noise but then its really weird sounding, like lots of base and no normal sound but as soon i plug it back in its the same humming noise coming from all four, not just one its all four...Does anyone have any idea what it is, i tried two soundcards, sb live and santa cruz but same thing..

This doesn't address your problem, but I would recommend talking to a Klipsch CSR. They were VERY helpful and pleasant even when I was past my warranty. If nothing else they might tell you what exactly is wrong.

Try replugging the cables in and then if that doesnt fix it, try giggling the cables around as it might fix the problem especially if you are using the included cables which have very crappy connectors. The Klipsch people are very nice as that is what fixed my problems which sounds similar. I really wish though that for the 4.1s they would have had clips like the 5.1s instead of the plugs.

is there way to buy new cables????? There is something wrong , and it is with cables seems like,AS soon i unplugg one of the speakers , doesnt matter which one sound is fine.Damn it.

I am really betting that it is the cables. I replaced my cables, with new 16 gauge copper cable. Klipsch sells new Monster cables which are very good, but very expensive. If you know how to solder, go to Radio Shack and buy 4 new plugs and then solder the cables to them. It fixed all of my problems and there is no more "hissing" coming from the speakers like there used to be.

Let me know what you think and then I can advise you from there.

I am 99% sure that the new cables if done properly will fix your problems. Also, you know what to do right, otherwise you could really ruin the speakers by shorting something. So if you need help, just post.
