KLH is one of the lowest quality speaker brands in existence. That being said, you probably won't find any other powered subwoofer for this price.

I have a pair of KLH speakers driving my "entertainment center" from a 15 year-old Onkyo receiver and a 13" TV, and while an above poster is correct, KLH isn't known for their high-quality audio products, if you want basic equipment it will suffice. In my case, the KLH speakers are better than the speakers on the TV by leaps and bounds. If you don't have a sub and are looking for a cheap one, this one would be just fine.

While I agree KLH's speakers aren't all that great, you can always get the sub and relplace the speaker. The amp and encloser are actually pretty good, and they are shielded.

Anyway a good replacement could be found here.

I did this with my KLH 10" and it actually performs very nicely, the orginal speaker would buzz and crackly at higher volumes and deeper bass, now it sounds great.
