I believe that the $50 rebate is only good with BESTBUY.COM purchase.

BestBuy and BestBuy.com is a totally separate company, at least that's what the BestBuy SCR told me.

Can anyone confirm this?

I went over to BB to look at it. Only took a minute to decide to spend more money and get something worthwhile. Even the BB salesboy didn't recomend it.

True, but its the same price online, and thats where the rebate is.

About the quality, its frickin $80! Im not expecting the best here. And if you buy the service plan for $35, you cant go wrong! $115 for 4 years of recievers.

They are traned to tell you ints not good, and get you to buy something more expensive. This product is suposed to get you into the door, and then they get you to buy something else more expensive.

Yeah, they most likely take a loss if you actually buy one. And, I don't think it's "bait and switch" as long as they actually had them in stock when they ran the ad?

Also, even if Best Buy and Bestbuy.com are run seperately, I think you can still return Bestbuy.com purchases at the b&m store.

Cheap is as cheap does!

Looks like the $50 MIR is only good at .com. I hate doing in-store pickup. They always have slow-ass morons handling the pickup desk.
