True freedom of speech is not measured by allowing speech we agree with, but by allowing speech that offends us most.
I disagree with everything the KKK stands for, but I also disagree with limiting their freedoms and rights based on their beliefs and speech, no matter how vile I find it to be.
On a legal stance I agree. But our laws were made to reflect our moral conscience as well. I believe the most abused and misuised of our freedoms is that of speech. The KKK, Louis Farrakhan, Howard Stern may get away with saying stuff legally but that doesn't make it right. I am a firm believer that certain speech should be limited. Hate speech and speech that incites riots should not be allowed. Its amazing how they will put stamps on rap albums, want to now fine folks who sell certain video games to minors, but allow your child or mine to be exposed deviants who exploit the freedom of speech like these clowns. I am not going to argue over legality but on moral fiber I will take a stand that it should be disallowed. I did not agree with the Million Man March for this very reason. A racist got his chance to spew his nonsense.
