KK266 help - BIOS can't read floppy, but WINDOWS can!?!?

i flashed my original 0307 bios to the ld0307 one, and since then i haven't been able to access my floppy during bootup. i can only read the floppy once i'm in windows.

i am COMPLETELY confused. does anyone know what the problem is or how i can fix it?

Stupid question, but, you're using a bootable diskette, right?

go into bios-advanced bios features- set first boot device to floppy. Go down list to--boot up floppy seek --enable it . It should read the floppy everytime you boot.

do you have your floppy listed in the first bios screen where you set date ?

yes. when i try to access the floppy, it searches the contents of the floppy, but it can't read it. it gives me an I/O error. but the floppy works perfectly fine in windows and on my other computer.

Is it possible you have a bad floppy cable?

i'll try putting in a new one. but why would it work in windows and not during bootup/dos?
