Kitty Kelly on Today Show

Matt Lauer is ripping her a new one over her new book ripping apart the Bush family. She actually had the goobas to write in her book that GW did cocaine at camp david while his father was in office., among other things, claims she has 10000 sources, but won't reveal one of them. For all we know, she's making all this stuff up (which many critics claim she did with her previous biographies on the Royals, Frank Sinatra, and the Reagans). Wow...she claimed she wasn't trying to infulence the election....riiiiigggghhhttttt.

I'm no Bush fan but publishing tabloid crap like that right before a highly controversal election with no proof to back it up is just plain wrong. Opinions?

i agree with you, this stuff has no place in legitimate journalism. or any sort of research-based project...because im sure it can be argued that she isnt a journalist etc etc.

I was opposed to the swift boat smearing as well. I don't get that whole thing- the Bust campaign said they did not endorse that ad and did not question Kerry's service in 'Nam, yet Kerry's party is still saying that Bush is questioning his medals---do they have selective hearing or something?

Anyway, later in the show Matt interviewed GW's sister in law, who Kelly said she got some of her information from in the book. She basically said she never said anything that was printed in the book- nice
