Over the weekend we mostly finished redoing the backsplash and hanging the microwave. A bit more than your typical job as the previously installed glass tile was held in by what appeared to be 17 additional tubes of caulk. They also cracked but still installed quite a few tiles so numerous shards and some blood involved in the backsplash removal. I took some pictures of the amazing craftsmanship of the previous installation. I have no idea how or why but they gouged the fuck out of the walls around the tile at the edge of the tile\countertop run so we spent some time doing wall repair as well.
I like the design choice of having none of the cut edges match up:

(The edges at the end of the countertops were just as bad)
Yes the outlet covers are flush against the drywall and yes that is caulk against the window (Some of the outlets also had caulking around them)

More edges that don't line up:

Such a nice caulking job between the tiles and window and tile and granite countertop:

Of course not everything was their fault. When we started installing the tile we noticed that the cabinet run on one wall was not level. It was installed on a slow incline so a 1/8" gap above the new tile on one end rose to at least a 5/8" gap on the other end. While you'd have to be really short or bend down to notice the gap it would look pretty bad (at least to us) to have an uneven gap or to start having an extra row of glass tiles cut in half horizontally right after the stove. So I rehung the cabinets appropriately

So we still need to seal it and clean the caulk off the outlet covers but its almost completely done:

You can see my $200 Bosch dishwasher in this one:

I got the dremel attachment for notching some of the tiles and the smaller cuts that were needed. At first it worked out really well but it barely made it through the project. Pretty disappointing as I have a tile cutter that worked for most of the cuts so I really only needed it for a handful of tiles but it still became almost unusably dull by the end
Still on our list of things to do:
Seal backsplash and countertop
Touchup the paint on the window sill. The caulk removal removed some of the paint
Finish re-painting the kitchen with Bungalow Beige. Goes a bit better with the colors in there than the off-white they used.
Upcoming projects:
-Putting $300 worth of paint up in the family room, eating area, dining room and living room
-Fairly major landscaping of an as yet unknown design
-Basement shelving (Ran out of 2x4s due to a design change and those don't fit easily in compact cars)
-Home theater room
