I picked up a Kinnect 3-4 months ago and so far me and my son really enjoy it. Of course, the only game we have is Kinnect Adventures. We pretty much do Reflex Ridge exclusively, although he likes to do the River Run when playing by himself.
The primary reason for picking up the Kinnect was for exercise. My son has too much energy and in the winter that is not a good thing. I also wanted something different to do than running on my treadmill for cardio. Reflex Ridge is great for an HIIT type workout. I do a lot of running, sprinting and Reflex Ridge is just as capable of getting the heart rate near max levels.
With that said, is there any other 'fun' games that actually require a lot of physical effort? Based on my searches, I couldn't really see anything that was 'good'. Even the Kinnect Sports was pretty weak when I tried it out. Seems like Kinnect is a very great piece of technology without software to really make it shine. It is a shame, because I think they could do so much more with it... Suggestions for a game or an upcoming game in development would be great.
