I'd get whichever is cheapest. However, you didn't say anything about OC'ing. That could change my opinion.

I've used both Corsair value ram and Kingston with no problems.

The board I bought recently for a linux box supposedly has had some issues with Corsair value ram. Didn't find this out till later, but I've had no problems show up. Memtest runs for hours with no errors. Its a Biostar MNCG 400.

Never tried overclocking either brand though.

i'm using muskin value now, works good. replacing it with ocz (got a good deal on it), faster ram to go with a faster cpu (533 vs 800 fsb).

any brand...
for value RAM I usually just buy Generic (Spec-Tek) the stuff works perfectly and it's cheap.

Any other opinions? Im begining to think i should just go with mushkin. Its 8 bucks cheaper in total than corsair. But the timings are a bit lower. Its like 2.5-4-4 and oppoed to 2.5-3-3-8 (stock)

I've used Kingston in many machines and never had a problem; never had a chance to use Corsair. Bought my first stick of Mushkin last week, and it bit the dust on me after 4 days. On it's way back to newegg now for a replacement.

Ditto. And they RMA service is the best ! I bought some ram as Frys, and it took me years to figure out it was really bad, and it didn;t even say mushkin on it. But I noticed my other mushkin all had a label that said "Elixer" or something like that. So I called Mushkin, and asked if it was their memory. They had me read some numbers off the chip, and then gave me an RMA number !! They rock ! a lettle over a week turnaround total, so now they have me sold ! My 4x512 registered sticks in my dually box are Mushkin.

I'm running 2 identical sticks of the low latency Corsair Value RAM right now, and I'm absolutely loving it. No problems what-so-ever, and i rarely turn my PC off. I'd reccomend Corsair to anyone in a heartbeat :)

When comparing the value ram lines of these brands, I am pretty sure that Corsair has the best stock timings at 2.5-3-3-6.
