Kingston ValuRam Issues

I bought a 128MB stick of KVR from outpost and installed it. But I noticed that some of my applications are performing worse now. For instance, I was downloading a program and listening to WinAmp. While I was downloading, the music became very choppy, and the mouse cursor wasnt moving fluidly. Is this a RAM issue at all? I have the KVR 128 CAS3 PC133 in the first bank and NEC 128 PC100 in the second. Is is because there is PC100 in one and PC133 in the other?? Prior to installing the RAM, my comp was working fine in those situations. I also have a P3V4X MB.

Definitely doesn't sound like RAM to me. Seek out other problems. More often than not, if you have RAM problems, they involve BSOD's and random lockups/shutdowns.

Try pulling the stick of PC100. I had similar issues with 1 126 stick of PC100 & 1 126 stick of PC133. Benchmarks went WAY UP with 1 126 stick only of PC133 over i of each. If that works, swap the 100 for another stick of 133.
