Kingston SSD with Samsung controller - what "tools" should I run??

Kingston SNV225-S2 V+ SSD 64.0 GB

This drive has the Samsung controller.
What is a proven set of tools to keep my drive in best possible shape?

My drive is 37gb free, and will stay under 50% full.
I'm happy with the drive, but tools seem lacking for Samsung based drives.

Thanks -Jim 🙂

not sure about Kingston, but Supertalent MasterDrive SX w/ samsung chipset is now shipping with TRIM enabled firmware.

You might want to check with Kingston to see if they offer updated firmware for your drive

Good to hear, but Kingston offers nothing for this drive as of now.
This is mostly the reason I'm looking for 3rd party software.

I'm thinking this is a good excuse to get another 80gb Intel and sell or put the Kingston in the Wifes lappy.

I do not have a Kingston drive but I have an OCZ drive with Samsung controller. I use AS Cleaner to clean deleted cells to free space when I notice a slowdown in performance. It has worked well for me.

ASCleaner is your only option and as you know some don't have positive experience with it.
