first off, there is currently only 1 kingston rebate at buy.com valid: the $10 off a 64 mb pc100 cas 2 chip at buy.com (price dropped to $27.95):

here is one for egghead: $15 off for 256 mb pc133 cas 2:

here are some expired rebates that are still accepting forms if they are postmarked before 2/31 and purchased before 1/31 (or the receipt says that :) )

i'm not sure if this DOTD memory chip will work, but here is that link:

but the point of this thread is that kingston's fulfillment house, TCA Rebates, sucks. here is where you can check on the status of your TCA rebates:

http://www.valueram.com/checkstatus.asp

chances are something is wrong with the rebate. you need to call this number: 914-633-0977 to fix the problem. i know, not toll free, pretty crappy of them. they say that there is something wrong with their website and it "misreports" rebate status, but i would call to check the rebates anyway.

TCA bites the big one!

I sent in a Kingston Rebate from Egghead in mid-December. The web site claims that they will cut the check in EARLY MARCH!!!:Q:disgust::frown::(

Unfortunately, this is typical of the other rebates that have fulfilled for me.

Slightly OT, but I do have to give a shout out to Staples (Parago) in this regard. Provided I fill out the request online, they pay in 8 weeks of ORIGINAL submission, it is easy to verify when they receive paperwork and fix any problems that may come up.

concur on parago. definitely better than young america and the whatever the fulfillment house is in phoenix, az. parago (staples, maxtor, etc) lets you search online, fax in stuff, has a toll free number, and has good hours. only one better is microsoft, but i think they do it in house.

I'm still waiting for my Kingston/Buy.com ValuRam DOTD rebate check which the site shows as approved and says is dated 1/21/01. Must be on the "slow boat". Also MIA is my Onvia/Kingston ValuRam, and Dell-Buy.com DFP rebates.

type in your last name and zip on that website and check them. i was surprised to see that they thought my receipt was missing. i called up and told the guy i had made photocopies of everything and would be glad to fax. he just validated it over the phone and said it would be sent out in march. whatever, i'll get it eventually.
