I have a P-IV2.4C overclocked to 3.2Ghz on Abit IS-7E running, FX-5800, Hitachi SATA, KHX-3500 Dual Channel 2x256MB cas 2.3.3.6. in my BIOS menu. What I wish to know is how come, my current KHX, which is supposedly a DDR433 specs dimm, that should be capable at cas 2.3.3.6 in default v-dimm voltage? I could not managed to get this pair of dimms to run at its rated 2.5v instead required a 2.7v in my BIOS menu. What is wrong? Pls advise. Even I downclocked to DDR400, I set my v-dimm voltage to 2.5v in BIOS, I will still not be able to run cas settings at all, 2.2.2.5 or any much lower than it rated, why? Moreover, it shows me a default 2.6v even I set 2.5v in my Abit's BIOS. Do I have a pair *(too bad its not those kit pack, but I managed to secured them in both identical parts, even, revision stated on the box, think it's 0.12) v-dimm power hungry??? required a 2.7 in BIOS settings to run DDR440.
Plus, I ran Prime95 error, but all 3dmark on it looping is wonderfully ran. Why?
Thank you all.

The mem is spec'd 2-3-3-7 at DDR434. I run those timings at DDR448 with 2.85V. I believe the spec for VDIMM is 2.6V.

can confirmed whether yours is those single pack KHX3500? my label on the box is just KHX3500/256, On the dimm stickers pasted shows 2.5v dimm voltage, so, this is actually over-volt KHX?

I have two boxes of PC 3500 HyperX right here. I do not see where it tells what volts to use. However, I have used it at well over its speced ratings, with no problems. However, on their website, it shows 2.6v as default. I dont see why you dont want to run it at 2.7 to get what you want out of the ram, its not going to hurt it.

I bought 2 single DIMMS KHX3500/256 in May. I'd heard they switched to CH-5, and those don't o/c well. These things are voltage hogs, and as long as you remain w/in 0.3V you're OK. I also run MAM enabled on my P4P800-D.

EDIT: At 2.5V, you probably hve the CH-5 chips. Still should be able to run spec (434 @ 2-3-3-7).

Thanks for all the reply, however, I doubt that mine is using CH-5 as it was bought early Jan-2003, and stated on the dimm spreader, it's default is 2.5v so I don't think currently KHX is 2.5v, it's 2.6v which I had bought similar KHX3200 512KIT package but it's not performing desireably. Thus, I wanted to know from users of this KHX3500, "rev.0.12"??? does your stick or pair of them actually required high voltage to run as what I described?

Next, I find it also strange with Sisoft Sandra2004 standard, I benchmarked mine which currently on IS-7E with Dual Channel engaged, 5:4, 250:200, CPU 2.4C@3.0GHz which is already downclocked for my KHX3500, I adjusted my cas timing to 2.2.2.5 with v-dimm@2.8volts, any thing lower, I cannot achieved this except 2.3.3.7. GAT is not enabled but set at Auto. Theorically, it's a DDR400 now with all the tightest settings, regretably, I read the benchmark result against a similar P-IV in Sisoft-04, 3GHz PC3200 CAS-2, mine was losing for this bandwidth benchmark? what or why is this so??? pls do enlighten me as I should excepted mine to be equally if not or more higher than the comparison.

Lastly, I tried setting my GAT in BIOS for IS-7E. I put in Turbo, or Street Racing, but no chance of F-1. In CPUZ diagnoise, mine dimm is not showing any "Performance" enabled result, except "disabled", all the clock timing is reflected accurately, but not "performance" why? Even using relaxed timing such as 2.3.3.7 or 2.5.4.4.8 can't show any at DDR400 5:4. Only when I noticed that the FSB is lowered not at 200Mhz, or using 3:2 which will be less than 200Mhz, such as 168Mhz, then if I had GAT enabled to Turbo or Steet Racing, it will appeared? how come? Really quite vex with my hunt for a premium desireable dimm that can allows me to perform my settings favorably, since already tried so many different brands, such as Cosair V.S., Smart Modular, TwinMos, I really even now feel hesitate to go for extreme quality ones such as XMS series, as the result might etc...No offence to any of these owners.

Ok, thank you all for reading and trying to enlighten throughout my lenghtly post. Hopefully, I can shed some lights into this.
