Asus has partnered w/ Kingston? Or, does Asus own Kingston?

When I think of memory for the Asus P5B Deluxe MB...names that come up are...Corsair, Mushkin, OCZ, Geil, etc...

Does the above Kingston memory belong in this company? And what memory would you get with this MB?

Thx...

This memory is totally excessive. Unless you're overclocking or otherwise changing from defaults, the memory on a Core 2 Duo will run as DDR2-533. So unless you're overclocking or running asynchronously buying anything over DDR2-533 is a total waste.

And yet all too often you'll see people buying DDR2-1000 just because it has a big number on it and they want "the best they can get without overclocking". OP didn't tell us that he was overclocking, only that it was recommended on the Asus site. Now, is it totally unheard of for a company to recommend an expensive product from a partner in exchange for a fee, instead of a looking around for the best value for money for the consumer?

Thx, guys...

I knew that...DUH

Just purchased Corsair 6400 C4 (4-4-4-12), Asus P5BDeluxe, E6600 cpu, BFG 8800GTS (640mb), PC Power & Cooling 610W PS, Seagate SATA 400gb HD, and Lian Li A16A case...I got a bit carried away, but, hell, it's only money.
