kingston CF card go bad?

I have a kingston CF card that I've been using for almost a year now. The other, I went to turn on my camera and it said "memory card" error. I've seen this in the past, once or twice, and fixed it by just turning the camera on and off, but it doesn't seem to work this time.

Is there anyway to see if there is any issue with the card? I dont have a CF reader unfortunately. Or should I just call kingston.

Unfortunately, flash memory is a destructive memory. Every time you write and erase, you shorten its lifespan.

That's why FRAM is likely to be the a likely replacement for it in the future.
