This is the faster ram so I may jump on it. Anyone know if the rebate link is valid? It says only ValueRAM on it. And I just called and they said they would probably get more in stock in 1-2 weeks...all though the rebate has to be mailed 15 days after purchase. How would that work? Either way $169 for the ram is still a good deal.

I also just called and they *should* be in on the 15th. The rebate numbers don't match, but I'll post another msg when they get back to me about that.

Also, the person I spoke with promised that the rebate would be good for 14 days after the SHIP date, which is when they will charge your card.

I'm also on the market. Some people recommended to me to buy KHX3200ULK2 which has TCCD chip (samsung chip) on it.
I checked the timing for both:
KHX3200ULK2: 2-2-2-5-1
This one: 2-3-2-6-1

I'm noob to the memory timing.
What I'm wondering is that if I buy this ram, what would be difference with KHX3200ULK2 in terms of overclockability? If not much gain with ULK2, then I should buy this one.
Thanks.

Be aware that in the last outpost deal, they sent out 3200AK2 instead of the 3200K2...

I ordered this all thought I'm not sure when I'm going to get them. I'm gonna call tomorrow to make sure they're sending out the 3200K2 and not the 3200AK2

Mine arrived yesterday. Guess what it was 3200AK2. In fact, there is no 1G 3200K2 at the Kingston website.
Would it be good for AMD64 3500+ for Overclocking?

diff model # = diff product

But both descriptions are the same on both sites but the model#, speeds ect. So whats the differance between to two model numbers. What makes one of them worth $100.00 more then the other is what Im getting at as in preformance, quailty ect..

i wouldnt say outpost's bait and switch tactics are not entirely bad for some of us. for example, couple months ago, they had KHX3200A/512 listed and many of us got KHX3200/512 that have the bh5 chips. majority got brand new bh5's but some got what appeared to be used (perhaps refurbished).

OP, you say 149.99 AR, but also say hotter with 20$ MIR. You mean $149.99 BR?

It's showing $139.99 AR now. Not too bad is it?

The rebate I downloaded wasn't for $20 off the HyperX DDR linked...
It was for $20 off their "ValueRAM"!

"$20 rebate on: KHX3200AK2/1GR Or: KHX3200AK2/1G"

The Fry's HyperX part number is "KHX3200K2/1GR"

Sounds like this "typo" is going to save them $20 on a bunch of customers!

Apparently, Outpost bought a lot of this stuff and they have to get rid of it. If you talk to CSR at Kingston, you'll find out they sell a slightly different model. There were numerous posts awhile ago about this memory. Outpost has been selling it for awhile and at different prices......so let the buyer beware.

YES! Just received an email notifying me that the rebate I submitted in November is in the process of being sent out.

As for the HyperX memory, I bought 2 sticks of 512meg a couple of days ago from Fry's B&M store. The $15 rebate paper does match the product ID KHX3200A/512R and its UPC#.

Quite frankly, it's not any faster than the value-rams it replaced... at least not that I can notice. But it sure looks cool. I'll try over-clocking it a little and see how it responds.
