Kingston 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2-64x64 HyperX DDR Memory 184Pin -2-3-2-6 = $159.99

Description Settings
333MHz (PC2700) 2-2-2-5-1 (CAS Latency 2)
370MHz (PC3000) 2-2-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
400MHz (PC3200) 2-3-2-6-1 (CAS Latency 2)
434MHz (PC3500) 2-3-3-7-1 (CAS Latency 2)
466MHz (PC3700) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)
500MHz (PC4000) 3-4-4-8-1 (CAS Latency 3)

It seems Newegg is selling this same package for almost $100 more.
Kingston HyperX (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - 2-3-2-6 = $259.50

I think this makes for a great alternative to Corsair Value 1 gig and Geil Value 1 gig $150-160 CL2.5/3 packages.

EDIT: If anyone does purchase this, please provide overclocking results for others to see.

superHARD,

Just curious, If this is the same hyperX (Model #KHX3200K2/1G ) at outpost for $169 that newegg is selling for $258.50 and zipZF is selling for $263 (plus $40 rebate) why isn't this a great deal?

Am I missing something, are these different sticks?

Any one know if there different, because if they are the same, I will buy as they are probably better than any of the various brand value ram.

Curious people want to know

Limit 1 per Household....just a fyi

SuperHard Fry's will and did sell me two, one at a time so I have 2 reciepts (tonight) with two rebates. but a side from that why would you say this is just warm at best ?
Pictures

What would you say is a better deal right now?

Newegg wants $134.00 a per 512MB stick vers Frys $74.00 AR a stick & timings for this price range is decent.

Just wondering were you got the rebate from. It's not listed on their site and when I called they knew nothing about it. If you have it, could you post a link? I just bought this last night and gettting a rebate on it would be great.

(Sorry,I know I posted this in the other thread, but nobody seems know how exactly to get the rebate.)

fry's was willing to sell me two as well but they said id have to put down two different addresses o r Kingston won't honor the 2nd one.

I checked the Kingston site and Newegg and couldnt find a #KHX3200K2/1G. Here's the link to the HyperX model sheet. I dont think the ones on Outpost and Newegg are the same.

Complete list of Kingston HyperX Products

I think its another classic Outpost listing. If anybody jumped on this deal could you please post the specs and the timings you're getting. Thanks,

CD.

The difference between KHX3200K2/1G and KHX3200AK2/1G are that the KHX3200K2/1G memory are supposedly bh-5 chips with
Cas Latency: 2-2-2-6-1T and are out of production.

The KHX3200AK2/1G memory are ch-5 chips with Cas Latency: 2-3-2-6-1T.

KHX3200K2/1G : http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=20-144-126&depa=1

KHX3200AK2/1G : http://www.newegg.com/app/View...=20-144-114&depa=1

I read on another forum that while Outpost says that they have the KHX3200K2/1G memory people have actually been getting the KHX3200AK2/1G version. At the bottom of Outpost's page it says the Cas Latency is 2-3-2-6-1T which matches the KHX3200AK2/1G version.

BR just send one of the rebates to a friends or relatives addy.

What was the before rebate price on the Kingston memory from Fry's? Was it an advertised special? I'm tempted to go down and grab a couple sticks if the before rebate price isn't too high.
