It is about 180 at Buy.com and there is a 30 off 150 coupon flying around. Plus there is a 30 rebate from Kingston.

Here is the summary:

Buy.com price 180.95
coupon - 30.00
Kingston MIR - 30.00
---------------------
Total 120.95
S/H 5.00
---------------------
Grand Total 125.95!

That's a buck a meg! for compact flash!

Code for 30 off 150: 80492381

UPDATING Theophilus's post....

You can now get a 128mb Kingston CompactFlash chip for $110 (+ s/h), what many pay for 64mb.

(From TechBargains -- a "forbidden term"?)

Kingston offers a $30 rebate on 128mb CompactFlash cards at **participating retailers** (Buy.Com, OutPost.Com and others -- see rebate form: URL below. Offer valid January 1, 2001 through March 31, 2001)

Kingston Rebate

Buy.Com offers this for $169.95, and you can deduct their $30 coupon (go to TechBargains for the coupon: $30 off $150 for **all** customers!)

Buy.Com Link

Therefore:

$169.95 (+ s/h + tax)
- $30.00 (Buy.Com coupon)
- $30.00 (Kingston rebate
=======================

$110 (+ s/h + tax)

(BTW: I checked several of the other "participating dealers" listed on Kingston's rebate form. Buy.Com had the best price of those I checked. If you find a better deal, let us know.)

[Edit] to fix links. [/Edit]

Perfect for the S100 I got my wife for christmas????

However the terms of the rebate state:

Rebate not redeemable if product is purchased through a distributor or other resellers that offer an instant rebate.

So, is a coupon considered an "instant rebate"????

This offer's been floating around for a while has anyone been able to "stack" the buy.com coupon and the kingston rebate????

Thanks!

trikster2 ....

This does NOT involve "stacking" coupons/rebates/etc. And Buy.Com's coupons are not "instant rebates" -- nor are those from Staples, Amazon, C4Sure, etc., that many of us combine with manufacturer's rebates all the time. Here (as in many hot deals) you're just combining 2 or more, *independent* opportunities.

But, if you're concerned, call the phone number on Kingston's rebate form and ask. And if you discover anything disquieting, let us know.

Good luck ........... <r>

Thanks for the advice,

Just ordered the card, think I'll stick to the cardinal rule: Never call customer support.

Even without the rebate, $140 is a great price....

Hey, any digicam experts care to address my worries that this 128mb card will drain my bateries way faster than my 10mb card????

Thanks again!
