I recently ordered this drive as a second SSD in my system. Got it for $128 after rebate. http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=218194454

Here are the performance stats I got with CrystalDiskMark
Read Write
Sequential 258.2 189.0
512K 193.3 196.3
4K 11.96 28.73

And for comparison my 120GB Intel 320
Read Write
Sequential 258.6 136.1
512K 176.7 137.4
4K 20.02 35.67

Looks like the sequential read topping out at 258MB/sec is a limitation of SATA II. The V100 actually is faster than my Intel 320 in the other tests except for the 4k read/write where it gets beat pretty badly. And of course the 4k read/write is pretty important when the OS is grabbing all those little files.

That being said I'm using the Intel for my OS and applications where I think the faster 4k performance are more helpful and the V100 for my data. Most of my data files are larger.

Anyway I figured I'd post these results in case anyone was interested.

weird my V+100 is faster than that. got two for $80 recently. and the 96gb for $95 (got 6 of those) the samsung are SOLID but they suck at QUEUE DEPTH>1 which is fine for single tasking but if you are doing VM or SQL/compile you will hate these drives.

I think they disabled write back due to lack of battery backup which reduced the NCQ to nearly 1 but it is safer than those crappy SANDFORCE/OCZ that do write-back without a battery/capacitor backup - that is dangerous.

v+100 is newer.. .of course it'll be faster ... go read the v+100 reviews to see them proclaiming how much better it is over the older version(well, more like 5-15% faster)
