Not only does it mean the Mavs made it into the Western Conference championships, but they haven't done it since 1988, and that was the first time ever. The Mavs just beat out the team that whooped em last year, and a win like this is an awesome way to be going into game 1 vs. San Antonio. That's why this game was pivotal 🙂
As for your predictions.. eh, whatever. I'm sure most people predicted the Western Conference championships would be Lakers vs. Kings. 😛

Well, the Kings lost.....you can say it was because of Webber's injury and that the Kings would have won with him, but that is the nature of the NBA. The Mavs were better than the Kings this series, you can tie that to the Webber injury or whatever you want, but the fact remains they played better for four games. I'm a Kings fans and this sucks but I'm not going to play the would-a could-a should-a game.
Now that being said, I really don't think that the Mavs. are going to fair too well against the Spurs. The Spurs are totally healthy and they are dominating on the inside. The Spurs also are beeming with confidence after beating the Lakers.
Good season Kings, thanks for a year of fun, and better luck next year. 🙂

I'm sorry, but you're a tool if you think an East team has a chance vs the Spurs or Mavericks. You don't give enough credit to the Mavs - I'm sure they'll shock a LOT of people in the Finals. The Nets have no chance against either the Spurs or the Mavericks. You're high if you think otherwise. The East is weak and pathetic compared to the West.

Honestly I think the Mavs might pull one out with the Spurs. The Mavs were the underdogs in this one and came away the victor after 7 games. The only way they can beat the Spurs, especially with the Mavs torrid interior D, is if they can come out firing on all cylinders consistently - ie, Nash, Nowitzki, and Finley shooting like they have been in the regular season. (Especially Nash - I'm disappointed at his crap for playing so far in the playoffs - maybe they should start Van Exel instead considering Van Exel has been on fire this series)

Oh wow you're funny! The Net's big 2 dont have what it takes to beat their equivalent West opponent. Say what you like. Look at last year's Championship. Total slaughter. Kidd and Kenyon Martin alone can't win the Nets the championship.![]()
