Kings sign Shareef Abdur Rahim

what a joke ?
Nets offered in more money with a longer contract term which he declined cuz he felt like Nets were being unreasonable ?
And then signs a 1 year deal for less money ? WTF ?

I still like my warriors over your kings.😎
haven't kept up with the warriors lately. what's their squad for this year look like?

C: Foyle
PF : Murphy
SF: Dunleavy
SG: Richardson
PG: Davis

Really excited about the upcoming season. After the baron davis trade team went 18-10 to end the season. With the pacific so weak warriors might finally end their playoff drought.

errr he failed a physical because of some scar tissue from high school which never affected his playing career. Nets nixed the deal, not Shareef.

Nets nixed the deal cuz he declined to compromise on the Nets new offer. which was 4 years guaranteed and 2 years Nets option ?
Nets are trying to protect themselves and give him a deal. If he stays healthy why would the nets not pick him up for the options ?

Now he declines the 4 years with more money for a 1 year worth the MLE ?

They made another offer, instead of 6 mil per year it was in the 4+ mil range over four years with two team option years.

SAR is hoping to having a career year then cash in next summer.

wow had no idea he was offered another deal. thought the failed physical was the end of things. oh well, worked out for the Kings.

I like Shareef, but I don't think he makes the Kings that good. That starting lineup posted above is no where near a good defensive squad. They are better with him, but they are still much worse than they have been. Likely a lower PO seed, around 6-8.

SAR got hosed by the Nets, and this was probably the best he could do because of what came to light.

Nets still offered him a better deal than the Kings did yet he says no to Nets and signs with Kings for 1 year ?

SAR didn't want to be locked into an underpaying contract if he has a big year. He obviously doesn't think the knee will be a problem. On a year to year basis the nets second offer is still lower then the king's midlevel offer.
