From what I've heard kingmax has problems running even specs. My friend has some DDR333 kingmax running spec fine. I would take crucial over kingmax any day IMO. Why not consider Kingston Hyper-X PC3000 if you plan on overclocking?

btw:

who makes the best DDR400?

Thats an easy one bro: Corsair with there XMS LL line

I've been hearing XMS LL + i875P horror stories, seems like Kingston HyperX is the stuff to get if you're running Canterwood.

Hyper-x has had there share of horror stories too with Revision 2.0 NForce 2 boards. Some say its just with the PC3500 variant, but its still unknown. BTW excaliberpc which sells hyper-x will not refund memory due to incompatibilities with Nforce 2 revision 2.0 boards.

Everyone has their share of 'horror' stories. However I would go with Crucial. I am sure that maybe someone is better than Crucial but i've used them since I replaced a PC with a 700Mhz Athlon and they never give me problems, and I do overclock my PC. I would recommend just going to crucial.com and buying some memory off of there...I've heard too many problems with either of these brands listed and very few with Crucial. Crucial won't disappoint you if you choose them. Before someone goes and shares their 'horror story' with me about Crucial, I would like to reiterate that every manufacturer is going to have a 'horror story' of some kind.
