Kingdom Under Fire series: Should I play it?

I have to admit, I have a huge hard-on for a lot of medieval/fantasy-type games (e.g. Dragon Age, Oblivion, The Witcher, etc.) but I never got to play the Kingdom Under Fire series because no one I know has played it.

Seeing how Kingdom Under Fire II missed its 2009 release window, I revisited some old KUF2 screenshots from 2 years back and it just looked pretty ambitious for a 360 game.

So...should I play it?

according to that the latest one isn't that good... so I'd say no unless you're REALLY hard up for a game

I played KUF: Circle of Doom. While I sort of enjoyed it being that I'm in the same boat as you (love Oblivion, Diablo, etc) overall it was pretty bad. Gameplay was very "meh," story was bad, level design was boring, graphics were crap, etc. You can probably pick it up for $5 so it might be worth a try then.
