Kingdom Hearts II: Black Screen Problem

So I'm at this part where I'm in the gummi ship and I'm trying to advance to the next world and the game asks for a Triangle button and when I press said Triangle button, the game fades to a black screen which I assume is the transition to the progression of the game. BUT it remains in this black screen phase and refuses to do anything else. HELP!

don't use hd loader. more like you can't... the gummi ship parts of the game where you navigate asteroid fields load up an different elf file which hd loader is unable to handle, therefore bsod.

maybe your copy is bad or your ps2 doesnt like your kh2?
