Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix HD

I got it, but I haven't started playing it yet (surprise!). Did you make sure to get two limited editions to keep the art book in super pristine condition?

Naturally. For $40 for one of my most cherished modern games, why not? One to open one to keep sealed.

Kinda pissed there isn't a page with Halloween Town mummy Donald like they showed in the preorder bonus pictures. Evil duck can throw down! Its like, JFC dude save something for me and quit AoE nuking everything before the room loads damn it!

Turning out to be a crazy quarter. In the span of two months Ill have a Wii U, a PS4, two 3DS XLs, 3 if Zelda edition, bunch of NIS limited editions, so much coming out all at once I actually have a document to track it all lol.

OK, I don't feel so bad about it now...was worried the actual packaging was different but it's not. Still trying to figure that out with the FFX-X2 game coming out.
 
Its just a cardboard sleeve with a book in it. The hardcover art book has a hard plastic clear jewel case half in the back cover that holds the disc.

Nothing too special, but its the same price so....

Its neat to see stuff like this though. I sorely miss the Working Designs sets though. Like the PS1 Lunar and Arc the Lad sets and their hard leather bound books. NIS and Namco have some nice ones these days though.

Ni no Kuni and Tales of Xillia limited sets are Working Designs worthy and pretty epic.

Nowdays anything XSEED, NIS, or ATLUS are on my immediate pickup list no matter what it is. They're usually guaranteed to be awesome pieces.

They just announced that they're going to be finally translating the second chapter, and there's an HD PS3(4?) version of them coming, so I'm seeing this price jump soon

Kingdom Hearts is amazing. For anyone who has not played it, stop want you are doing and turn the ps3 on. Best Square RPG made since Final Fantasy 7.

That and I just prefer honest innocent and vulnerable main characters in general over invincible super hero I'm Billy Badass and I know it characters.

I loved the game on PS2, but never got around to finishing it.

hoping they release a 2.5 game someday, as I never got around to playing the sequel on my PS2. (I suppose I could just dig up my old PS2 and get the game used, but I'm so used to my xbox 360 controller that the PS2/3 controllers are a torture device to me)

Personally, I prefer Cloud over Sora, but I also preferred the darker and more mature story of FF7 to the... incomprehensible mess that is Kingdom Hearts plot. I think a big part of why FF7 is "the best FF" for a lot of people boils down to it being the first real 3d/modern RPG of the PSX era that also had a plot about something other than your typical teenage angst driven coming of age story. Cloud wasn't some perfect as a rainbow do-gooder out to save the world, he was totally effed in the head. I really wish they released FF: Crisis Core years before they did, it was a hugely important part of the back story of FF7 and filled in a lot of the uncertainties and assumptions. I'd kill for a PS3 or PS4 remake of the two like they did with KH 1.5, hopefully SE will finally bite now that they're doing these other HD remakes and they're selling really well.

Wait, Terra and Celese were both 18? Wtf I always thought mid 20s-30s.

At any rate they certainly didn't come off as angsty coming of age teens.
 
I never played this game, does it have a deep leveling system and all the staples of a serious JRPG?

I am looking forward to FFX HD, but not sure I really want to get it for the PS3 with the PS4 coming out...
