King of Fighters 98: Ultimate Match for PS2

Hi,

Anyone pick up this game? I'd like some opinions on how the game is. I'm always at my local arcade after school playing that series, even purchased KOF 95-98 for PS1.

The loading time was horrendous (after every round, cutscene, even entering & exiting the options screen ), I don't know how I could stand it at the time. If i was to play it again now, I'd toss the games out the window, right now it's just collecting dust on the shelf.

Anyway, I'm guessing this version is much better now? I lost interest in the series and hoping to pick it up again. Thanks.
 
i dont remember any KoF games on the ps1, but i can imagine they would be pretty terrible ports.

If you liked the original neo-geo KoF 98 (which you should, because its excellent), you'll like ultimate match. its a sort of remake of 98, not just a straight port, and its very good. i've had it since last year, and while i havent played it a lot, i like it.

keep an eye out for KoF 2002 unlimited match (came out in japan last month), and KoF XII, which should hit the PS3 this summer (in japan, dunno about US release).
