Well that depends on which pc version. The pc has a regular ported from the xbox version available in stores and its a fine game. Then there's the "gamer's edition" that can only be bought online (using some direct2drive service) that is based on the upgraded 360 version. I read you need one hell of a pc to run the gamer's edition.

Hey anybody know how to cross the level with the huge Dinosaur (T-rex or something) where you have the other two guys with you and you have to evade the t-rex and get out of that place.
Iam stuck in that place, my companions are hiding under a ruined building but i am running around in the open with no where to go.............any help.......

Even though graphics may not be important normally, I think they are for this. The graphics on the 360 were shocking. I've only played the demo, but it was enough for me to want to grab this title once I get a 360.

The game itself is nice. Its nothing special and its heavily scripted but I think its worth playing.. the 360 version anyways (and the pc Gamers Edition IF your pc could run it...hello ubisoft..DEMO of that version please!).

Think of the game as an adventure ride because thats what it is in a way. Its like one long ride based on the movie. You'll wish there were more Kong stages but whats there is fun to play and watch. I agree with Malak about how important the visuals are to this game. Like I said..this game is like an amusement park ride and one pretty one at that.

well it's $39 for the PC version and i was thnking of picking it up after i get my new video card to replace my now-dead 9800xt . . . probably a x850xt in AGP . . .

is the Gamer's Edition that much more demanding a x850xt would have trouble with it? Is the gamers edition more expensive or just a D/L add-on?

And IF i get the xbox360 - instead of a video card - is there "anytime save"?

Ash.

See that ruined archway? Hide under it, smoke the two bat-things to get him over in the area - then shoot him to piss him off. Yes, you're going to intentionally piss off several tons of dinosaur. Run in a figure-8 around the archway, and FFS, do not get bit. As soon as the door opens, run like hell.

Then resume killing millipedes with pointy sticks, as is 90% of the game.

King Kong blows King Dong. Beat it in <7hrs. :p

You can only get the Gamer's Edition here...and its one HUGE download. Take a look at the requirements!! I haven't seen that version as my pc is puny but that version IS the 360 version. It is the full game and not an add on...and its like 5 freakin gigs. If you got cable then its doable.

I'm not sure if the pc version allow you to save anywhere but in the xbox version which I played you could save at checkpoints. Most of the checkpoints are very close to each other so its no big deal. Does the x850xt have Shader Model 3 capabilities?? If not then the game wont work so just stick to the regular version. Its still a fine game and still looks nice to me. IF you know you are getting the 360 then get that version.

Try the demo if anything.

thanks for the info and the links . . . no SM 3.0. . . i guess i will hold off on that $250 x850xt and hope the r580's 1650xt in AGP is really fast . . . i can wait a couple of months . . . by then the games i want [now] will probably be bargain bin [then]. :)

Maybe a 360 will tide me over . . . . . . my little SIS 8MB PCI card is fine for 2D and surfing the net. :p

damn, i HATE checkpoints . . . you think that archaeic crap would have died the last generation. . . .console memory limitations are gone and it is stupid [for those of us who have 'lives' and less time to waste on 'perfection'] to have to replay over-and-over to just make it to a G-Damn checkpoint.
