Ahoy, squirts! Quint here... sorry for that tacky-ass headline. I fully expect tons of hate mail... but this is good news. We only have a short time to wait until the release of Steven Spielberg's WAR OF THE WORLDS (which is good news for us anxious waiters in and of itself) where we will see our first real glimpse at the world Peter Jackson has been creating for us all over the last year... well, last 9 years if you want to include the false start back in '96. That's right. KONG trailer on WOTW, baby!
In my adventures around the set, I did get to see a Bigature or two that WETA had made for this teaser... let's just say it'll really tease, but I will tell you that WETA built the title you will see. Will we see any footage of the big monkey himself? Who knows? We can all hope! What we do know is that KING KONG's first trailer will play before WAR OF THE WORLDS, which opens on the 29th of this month, thanks to those good lads on KongIsKing.net who dug up this info for us. I had it pegged for a Comic-Con release, but I think they've got the right idea. WOTW will be huge and every single geek in the audience will be primed and ready to see their first bit of KONG film. Brace yourselves! This looks to be the year of the geek!

Its not a trailer. Its the making of and answering questions.

For all the Cruise haters, King Kong teaser trailer will be simulcast on ALL NBC stations (even CNBC), in HD where available, next Monday, June 27th between 8:59:30 and 9:02:00 PM Eastern time.
As part of the ambitious, multi-pronged effort, the two-minute, 30-second teaser trailer will be broadcast at the same time on NBC, SCI FI, USA Network, Bravo, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, Mun2 and Universal HD. The trailer will be offered in high-definition on NBC and Universal HD. The estimated potential audience of the combined networks would exceed 109 million viewers, surpassing the total distribution of any previous promotional broadcast.

So all you HD vidcappers, get ready to rip and host!

HOLY CRAP? Is that Peter Jackson? He really slimmed down.

I don't think I'll be watching this because I don't have HDTV. I'll wait until someone caps it and hosts it. **hint hint Goosemaster**

That's cool, thanks OP! But am I just missing something or was that Danny DeVito in the editing room? he's not listed in IMDB as having a hand in the movie...?

looked awesome in HD.... probably wont look as good in the theater though (but i do have a native hdtv projector)
