I'm a little pissed that they're holding back on a DTS track for a CE at some future time. I know they did it with the LotR movies, which was mostly okay, since there was a lot of extra movie added to those versions. I doubt they'll give as much on a CE of Kong, probably a handful of extra movie + DTS. Annoying.

You never know...it's Peter Jackson. There's no reason he won't make it another 4.5 hour movie along with throwing in all the technical goodies...I'll be double-dipping as usual.

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the movie personally. I thought it was just too long and drawn out on the island. What was the point of half of the scenes of people getting eaten/chopped up/smashed? It was just filler action that didn't seem to add a lot to the movie to me. I didn't feel there was enough story to it. Also, Jack Black's 'final line' of the movie was by the THE SINGLE WORST closing line of a movie EVER, and I watch the stupid Beer Goggle Theatre on SpikeTV sometimes!

Anyway, /rantoff, it's a good deal on the DVD. Sucks that they're holding back the better audio though.
