I'd be extremely stupid to buy a Kinect *just* for Dance Central. and hope it produces some new awesome games. right?

ad campaign. they even have me wanting to buy one. i'd consider myself a pretty hard core gamer.

Don't buy it. Not yet at least.

If you get it just for dance central, you'll play it for 2 weeks, then your kinect will begin to collect dust.
 
The Kinect is a developing thing for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft. My suggestion would be to wait until later this year to get it, when there are more developers making games for it.
 
That said. The included game is okay. DC is fun and so is Kinect Sports. I'm definitely eager to see what they can do with it though. I'd love to see ME3 use it to help me build a face close to mine.
