Scored a lightly used Kindle Paperwhite at a yard sale today for $25.

I have been using a Kindle Touch for reading for a long time and it has served me well. When I saw this I couldn't pass it up as it's an upgrade and smaller.

Only thing is, I don't see a way to like export my current settings to the paperwhite. Like the book I am currently reading did not sync up to the page was on when I last used the Touch.

It syncs between my Nexus 7's kindle app though, so not sure why it wouldn't sync here?

I don't know why it wouldn't either. If you're signed in to the same account, and you have sync enabled, it should work the same. I have one though so let me poke around the settings real quick

Alright, so if you have the book you're reading opened on the Paperwhite, tap the upper part of the screen to bring up the menus. In the top right you have a button with three dots, and when you click that there's an option to "sync to furthest page read"

Does that do anything?

Hmmm, i guess i was wrong about the size - the paperwhite and touch are basically the same size. Must be because of the cover i used on the touch that made it seem bigger.

I think the paperwhite might be lighter though. And of course once you have the built in light you wonder how you made due without it.

Good find
