Kindle Add Ons

Just picked up the kindle for my mom yesterday and was wondering if there are any add ons I should pick up. For example do you guys like a specific case for it? Are the Screen Proterctors worth it.
Any advice would be helpful, I have zero experience with e book readers

I don't see how a screen protector could be worthwhile if you get a decent flip case. It's not touch sensitive, so you're just going to clean the dust off it every now and then.
