Kindergarten and immunization

So I'm reading through my daughter's kindergarten registration forms this evening, and I find one about immunization requirements. At the bottom of this form is a section titled EXEMPTION TO IMMUNIZATION LAW. It has only only 2 parts:

Medical - Students whose physical condition is such that an immunization would endanger their life or health. Such a statement must be signed by a physician.

OK, that seems reasonable.

Religious - Written statement by parent/guardian of religious or moral belief opposed to such immunization.

Wait, WHAT? So anyone can voluntarily choose to endanger the health of other children because they are retarded idiots??? Even worse, the primary danger is to those children who couldn't get an immunization because they already have some complicating medial issue.

I want to slap the morons who legislated that religion is a valid excuse for sheer stupidity.

My mom used to teach 2nd grade. A few years ago she had an outbreak of Whooping Cough in her class. Not vaccinating your child should be prosecutable as child abuse when shit like that happens.

And child endangerment X however many kids are in the class.

If you are a religious wacko, keep your kids at home.

I completely agree.

Also, I want to burn the [w/b]itch that is saying immunizations are dangerous, probably convincing many retarded parents to skip them. Ugh.
Oh yeah, that dumb bitch Jenny McCarthy. Burn her. She turned me into a newt.

Wow, so basically they have completely invalidated a law with this. "Get immunized, unless you don't think you should". It isn't just limited to religion (Which, AFAIK, there really aren't a whole lot of religions that I know of that are opposed to immunizations), they had to add the "moral" thing in there as well, meaning, any cheap lazy person can say it didn't feel right and not immunize their child. That's retarded.

People who don't immunize should be be shot so they can't spread the stupid.

im cool with that. i would also be cool with unimmunizing any parents that would willingly endanger their progeny in that manner as well, but im not sure thats possible.

while I agree that immunizing children is important, I think the Varicella vaccine requirement is just a money grab for big-pharm imo. Is chicken pox really enough of a threat to make it required?

yeap. also the cervical cancer vaccine they are forcing young girls to get. i think most are good and you should get. but seems lately pharmaceutical company have the government in there pocket and are forcing more and more on kids.

I don't agree with but can understand that some people have religious opposition to vaccination, fortunately though there aren't many religions that oppose vaccinations (Christian Science is the one that comes immediately to mind). I'm more worried about the people that are going to claim moral opposition because they're worried about the 'dangers' of vaccines.

Separation of Church and state. Public schools cannot force immunization. Parents getting visits from child care services for not immunizing their kid is another matter.

If you want more control over the kids education, send them to a privet school.
