I went to Wal Mart yesterday and was milling around the electronics section when, Idecided I should buy some new music. I never bought music at Wal Mart before, so I wasn't sure of it's policies on music. I was going to ask, but I was browsing through the CDs and a few that I were looking for had a big sticker that said EDITED right on the wrapper. So, I was thining "Okay...this one says 'EDITED' this one doesn't, sounds good." I didn't have time to listen to the CD yesterday, so I popped it in my CD player on the bus ride to school this morning and was sorely dissappointed ito discover that the CD was edited. Well, I guess I won't buy any more music from there. Lesson learned...

Owned by Wal Mart. :(

I was reading your story and saw "Walmart" and "Bought CD" and I knew it wasn't going to end well.

Lesson learned. Never buy music at walmart.

Walmart tries to be family friendly, so they don't sell music with profanities and whatnot, all their music will be edited. That's why you always lookout when buying from there.

I know of them and they are pretty good.

ps the fascist quote was just flamebait.

I really love walmart and their everyday low prices.Lets not forget those really freaking bright lights...those are fun when you are trashed at 3:00 in the morning and want some beef jerkey.

Wal-Mart sells only edited CD's if they are explicit lyrics. Many times, they leave the sticker off the CD's so people still buy them.

umm... there were two CD's in the same store... one said edited, the other did not. you bought the edited one, and are upset that it was edited?

seriously.... did you not know what edited meant? I have never bought music from walmart, so i have no idea what the stickers actually say. do they say just edited, or something more?

Even if they do not say edited on the outside of the cd, I bet they say edited on the PRICE sticker...

Hmm...I never noticed it...or never thought of looking for anything other than, well...the price.

I usually get my music at Media Play. For some reason the last...8 or so CDs I've bought there, they've actually charged less than what was labeled (and it's substantial...like 5-7 dollars lower than the sticker price. ). So, it keeps me going back.

Walmart is not a government. They cannot be fascist. They are exercising their rights and freedoms by selling only what they want to sell.

Fascist is a big word to be throwing around. Especially when you obviously have no idea what it means

Well, they could be fascist...maybe they're secretly planning to overthrow the government and institute their own rule?

Mussolini was considered a fascist before he was Il Duce...
