Hey all - sorry about the OT, but thought the knowledge in this forum might yield positivie result for me, so please bare with:
Does anyone know if it is possible to use a digital video camer (I have a Sony PC-1) with a firewire card such that the camera stores regular computer files (non-audio/video). Maybe there's a utility out there? I have a video capture utility from Sonic Foundry that let's you control the camera from the computer via my firewire card, as well as write a/v data to the camera. I'm thinking that this must be possible - it's kinda similar to using a DAT tape machine as a backup device, no?
