Kinda off topic ...N64

I bought my daughter a N64 and Im totally clueless on this machine. I rented her a game and it said I didnt have a rumble pak and wouldnt let us play the game. Is the rumble pak a feature or a requirment? Should I be able to play even without the rumble pak?

Rumble pak is totally optional in all games - I prefer to play with it off as the rumble really bugs me

yeah but do u have to have it attached to the game controller to play the game ..on or off. Or can u play the game without it totally. I guess i am asking do I have to have the runble pak attached to the controller ( on or off ) to play the game.

as RagingBITCH said, a Rumble pack is an additional feature.

IF you have a Rumble Pack then you would have to connect it to the controller and then turn it on!

You DON'T NEED IT to play the game. The game will run fine with or without the Rumble Pack.

hmm like I said in my previous post the game I renter said that my rumble pak was malfunctioning and wouldnt let start the game. Maybe the game cart. was just bad??? Anyway thanks now I know I can rent the ones that use the runble pak, and it should work. Thx to all 🙂
