hey i just wanted to see what some of you guys thought about this
back in the hotdeals forums there was a deal in regards to the Powershot s-10 camera. just today another member contacted me asking me if i was interested in buying his. however his profile has not been enabled and upon further inspection it seems that he is a junior member who's only SINGLE post has been to that partcular hot deals thread stating that he had gotten in on the deal and was planning on selling the camera. the fact that it was his first post makes it kind of fishy unless he's just a lurker or he is really a legit new user.
i was wondering what sort of necessary precautions should be taken with this character...would it be out of line to ask him to ship the item first before i paypal? (its a $200 camera) im not sure if he has any heatware or egay references yet but i know those can easily be impersonated as seen by many of the trolls out there
