Kinda interesting not to have a car

My car got into a wreck a month ago and is in the shop until next Friday. I had a rental for 3 weeks and gave it back when I went home for the holidays. Now my insurance only covers $750 for a rental which is only about 7 more days, so this week I'm doing without a car since I'm off work. It's kinda cool. I've been checking out all the little shops and restaurants within a couple miles of my house. I'm debating whether I should walk 3 miles to Best Buy tomorrow to get Top Spin for Xbox ;) I could use it as a little test for my new handheld GPS unit. In case anyone's interested this is the one I got--Lowrance Airmap 500

If you are going to get Top Spin, make sure to try and use that 10 dollar gamepro coupon, along with a gamers gift 5 dollar coupon.. plus they are buy two get one free for the xsn titles.. of course the coupons are YMMV, but I think you should be able to at least use some of them.

Yes, Top Spin is worth it. Especially with 4 players. Makes for hilarious times.

I saw the gamepro one, where do you get the gamers gift? Of course I never bothered to buy a printer so I guess I'm screwed anyway :)

well it's not like I need it, but I wanna see how accurate it is ;) it's pretty awesome, in addition to aviation gps stuff you can store detailed street maps on there with points of interest. I can't wait to use it in the air.
 

Welcome to the world of me, I totaled mine last sunday and i am waiting on the check for the new car. I had full coverage but i passed on the rental car...... I am out of town to boot.....

AAAAaaaactually, hikers often use GPS units so they don't get lost in the woods! Mark where your car/campsite is and wander freely. You'll know how far away you are, how to get home, and when you have to turn back in order to get back to camp by nightfall.

Remember when you get back into a car to drive down the centre line and pull back on the steering wheel, so remeber to keep above stall speed.
