When talking about a serial movie or TV show, each episode generally closes with "to be continued." What's the normal saying for the beginning of the next episode. "When we last left our hero..." or words to that effect?

Did you guys ever see that one episode of "The Family Guy" that was "to be continued?" I don't remember exactly what the connection between the two episodes was, but it was pretty mundane. But the next show started with: "Previously on the Family Guy" and then proceeded to show EVERY stereotypical cliff hanger known to man.

Like Meg holding a pair of wire cutters and screaming into a radio, "What do you mean cut the blue wire... THEY'RE ALL BLUE!" and on and on. I don't remember. After about 15 of these stereotypical cliff hangers, it finally shows the really mundane scene that connects the two shows. (I think they were going to LA or something).

Possibly, but I sure don't remember it.
