On similar subject I noticed the new Outlook has a "react" feature now. If someone reacts to your email you get another email saying that they reacted to it. I just had one today at work and thought it was kind of funny. A whole email just to show a thumbs up emoji, and I had to manually enable images to see it. You'd think MS could have come up with a more integrated way of doing that like have the thumbs up just show up as an icon next to the email in your sent items folder.
Iphones do the same thing, I get texts that say the person reacted to my text. I guess between iphones maybe it just shows the react within the text instead of sending another text. Texting is such a hot mess though, wish they would just come up with an IP based protocol that is universal across all phones no matter what platform you're on. I think that was the idea behind RCS but don't think that really got anywhere and it's mostly controlled by Google. Doesn't work on custom roms either from what I read.
