So I?m on my Masters program, taking my Computer Security Final last night. On the very last couple of pages (pg 26 - 30!!!) of the exam the professor presented us with a situation where a corporation within the United States must extend part of their network to Canada, A local University and a ?Coalition Network? that will participate in providing or using their services. Anyway, the case presents that the Accountants of this US Company are concerned about security because some of the members of the ?Coalition Network? aren?t even U.S. Citizens!!!!!!!! So he provided a diagram of how the various ?bubbles? are situations and where we would place security mitigation devices (i.e. firewall, IDS, PKI, Encryption, etc?)
I believe the sentence was something like.
?The Accountants of ECS are nervous about the possible security risk of the extension to the coalition network; some of the members within this network are not even U.S. Citizens!!!!!? (yes there was about 4 exclamation pts there)
So I?m thinking to myself, the Canadian network doesn?t contain U.S. citizens as well. But, I guess since they are Canadian you can trust them more???? LOL
