Kind of a weird question regarding headphones

Ok, my cell phone can play mp3's and I finally decided to buy a storage card for it so that I can put a few mp3's on it and listen while I'm on the bus. I put some mp3's on the card and played them fine out of the speakerphone, then decided that I wanted to try out headphones. The phone doesn't have a standard plug so I grabbed an adapter out of one of my drawers, the only problem now is that since it's a cell phone, sound is in mono A couple of years ago I used to have a fairly cheap set of headphones (~$25) that had a switch for stereo or mono and if the source was mono it would still play through both speakers.

Do you guys know of any earbuds that have a similar feature, or some other way around this? TIA.

Thanks! I'll give it a try, it's the infamous v710 heh, apparently they make a stereo headset for it as well, which I would have known if I would have googled first 😱
