kind of a weird music question

a little bit off topic i guess....but i want to convert my cd's onto my comp for use with (i think i want a rio 20 gig),
i have three choices:

1. all mp3 (good quality converting, LAME + EAC) /// winamp 5 (not as good as itunes for music converting) etc etc /// rio 20 gig

2. all aac (convert via itunes, + = music store) /// itunes /// ipod (bad battery life, big) (the fact that its apple is a plus and a minus for me....

3. JUST DONT CARE, get good quality converting, mix and match...
mp3 (eac/lame), aac (convert via itunes), ogg vorbis (stuff....) etc etc (play on rio 20 gig)
if i do this i might get music match, (for the music store)...etc

if i get a program that allows easy burnign i want to be able to burn mp3 cd's, not just normal ones cd's

anyone have anything else to share? its a hard decision

my preference would definately be to keep everything the same thing, and to have a good library/organizing tool (like itunes that i like) along with an easy way to sycnch with an mp3 player (i like the rio one, the fact that itunes doesnt work with it is a minus)

any organizing tool with music store is not necessary, but is a plus

Thanks for any help

Daniel

1 : you should ask this be moved to software

2 : all my stuff is MP3 because it works on just about everything , and at 256 bit , you can't tell the difference on almost anything.

good luck

Just so you know, the Ipod and Itunes plays MP3's as well as AAC's. No conversion from MP3 to AAC needed.

ya i know about the ipod, but you cant move mp3's from itunes to another brand of mp3 player....sorry about the missplaced post, if an admin sees this, please move it....

thanks

up i guess...should i stick with aac or mp3??? will the quality be very different if i get aac through itunes/cd converting and if i get mp3 through lame/eac converting???

is there a way to use itunes but a different mp3 player??? or is it locked only to the ipod

thanks

Daniel
