These are games we played with baseball cards when i was a kid growing up in San Francisco in the 60's.
Knockdowns....This game is played by leaning sveral cards against a wall and the players from approximately 8-10 feet away throw they're cards in such a way as to knock down the leaning cards. The person knocking down the last leaning card wins the pot of cards laying on the floor.
Set-ups...Same as Knockdowns only you throw your card and have to make one lean against the wall(this is the hardest of the 4 games and the pots got huge sometimes) First one to successfully lean a card wins the pot.
Bridgies...One of your thrown cards must bridge or cover 2 cards on the floor.
Topsies... your throwm card must cover the majority of a card on the floor
These games beat the cards up pretty good especially Knockdowns so my cards were never in pristine condition.
Topsies and Bridgies could also be played by simply holding ones arm by they're side and dropping the card from there rather than throwin them. In other words you could stand in the pile of cards on the floor and let your card drop .
These games are the only reason i had baseball, football and whatever other trading cards were available at the time.
